Fees and attendance

Toy Library and Drop-In: £1.40¹ per session.  Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are available.  To borrow from the Toy Library costs 30p a toy or 20p for puzzle games and can be borrowed for up to two weeks.

Playgroup: Fees are assessed on the age of the child and earnings of the parent/carer.  You will be asked to provide proof of income, without which, you may be charged the maximum amount .  Children are entitled to a subsidised place the term after their 3rd birthday.

Fees must be paid in full when your child is sick or on holiday.  We do not charge for Bank Holidays or when the Playgroup closes for holidays. Caxton House reserves the right to charge additional fees for organised outings during the year.

Four weeks notice is required when removing a child from Playgroup otherwise fees for four weeks will be incurred.

We do not allow arrears of more than two weeks. Fees should be paid promptly either weekly or monthly in advance.   If your fees are constantly in arrears you will be given an informal notice after two weeks and time to pay, followed by a formal notice after three weeks.  If arrears are still outstanding at the end of a set period of time your child’s place will be forfeit. 

If a child does not attend playgroup for up to two weeks without notification, the child will lose their place.  If you are having problems with fees or if your circumstances change please speak to a member of staff about it.  It is in your child’s best interest that they attend regularly.
